Providing community safety solution since 2017
Mulga Security is an Indigenous owned business founded by Shannon Brahim, a a Warumungu man, who lives on Larrakia Country.
After working in security for decades, Shannon began to consider other career paths.
It was a conversation at the NT's youth detention royal commission that made him realise he could make a difference in the community.
He set up a security company that employs Indigenous workers and uses a culturally appropriate and preventative approach.
He is well known for his strong local community relationships with families and young people and his caring approach to de-escalating heightened situations.
He is a regular contractor for City of Darwin, City of Palmerston, Barkly Arts, Anglicare, Surf Life Saving NT and Palmerston Regional Association of Basketball, as well as a range of one off community events across the NT.
